I want to say thank you to all of you who lifted us up last week in our first week of teaching. I know we were both a little ne
rvous, not knowing what to expect and not knowing how much English the students spoke, but everything went very smoothly for us (besides the heat, of course). We both taught a total of 10 hours last week. Yay! Success! We had a wonderful experience in the Vietnamese classrooms and had some wonderful mentors to guide us through the process. I thought you might like to see us in action, so I’ve included some pictures of us while we were teaching last week.
We have learned a ton about teaching English as a foreign language in the past couple of weeks. Now, we get to do some language learning of our own, starting on Wednesday. Keep lifting us up as we continue this new adventure. I have a feeling that learning a new language won’t be easy.
We are finally in Vientiane, Laos, now and we will go to Pakse soon. We are one more step closer to the plan he has for us!
We love you all,
Bethany
I can't wait to hear how the language learning goes. We're all so proud of you both!
